LEVEL 3: EMERGENCY PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID (RQF) 1 DAY

ONE DAY COURSE | CERTIFICATION GAINED UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

This one day course covers a range of emergencies and conditions in relation to First Aid for infants and children. This course covers unit 1 of the two-day FAA Paediatric First Aid qualification. The course meets the guidelines and criteria set by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED.

Over the course of the day, candidates will learn the following:

What You'll Learn

  • Role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
  • Be able to assess an emergency situation
  • Primary survey - DRABC
  • Perform paediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for both infants and children
  • Safe use of a automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Recognise and treat a choking child or infant
Certificate gained upon completion

Successful candidates will be awarded with an Ofqual regulated qualification that sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) that is valid for 3 years

The Day's Agenda

Assessment takes place in the form of practical assessments over the duration of the course, as well as completing a workbook which is their portfolio of evidence.
