LEVEL 3: EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (RQF)

ONE DAY COURSE | 6 HOURS LONG | CERTIFICATION GAINED UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

This 1 day course is ideal for anyone wishing to become an accredited Emergency First Aider in the workplace, or for anyone wishing to learn about first aid.

The course is completed over a minimum of 6 hours and meets the guidelines set out by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Regulations.

Over the course of the day, candidates will learn the following:

  • Actions to take in an Emergency
  • Primary Survey - DRABC
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Safe use of a Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Recovery Position
  • Treatment for a Choking casualty
  • Managing Seizures
  • Treatment for minor injuries including burns and wounds
  • How to recognise and treat for casualties suffering from shock
Certificate gained upon completion

Successful candidates will be awarded with an Ofqual regulated qualification that sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) that is valid for 3 years

The Day's Agenda

Assessment takes place in the form of continuous observation throughout the day, which includes active participation in demonstrations and discussions. No prior knowledge or experience of first aid is required, everything is covered including assessments on the day.
